Affiliation disclosure

TaxSquad and Circuit Wealth LLC are separate companies under common ownership. Sim Bachal owns Circuit Wealth and co-owns TaxSquad with his spouse. Sim and his family benefit financially when TaxSquad clients engage Circuit Wealth, and when Circuit Wealth clients engage TaxSquad. This is a conflict of interest. Neither firm pays the other for referrals.

You are under no obligation to use Circuit Wealth, and TaxSquad’s services don’t depend on it. Circuit Wealth’s fees are separate from and in addition to TaxSquad’s fees. TaxSquad does not provide investment advice. Advisory services are offered only through Circuit Wealth LLC, an investment adviser registered with the State of California (CRD #335718). Registration does not imply a certain level of skill or training. Circuit Wealth’s Form ADV Part 2A is available at adviserinfo.sec.gov.

Two firms, one plan.

Every financial decision has a tax consequence. When your tax preparer and your financial planner actually coordinate, those consequences stop being surprises.

Your taxes

  • Year-round tax planning
  • Tax preparation and filing
  • Bookkeeping for business owners
  • IRS and state letters
CIRCUITWEALTH

Your wealth

  • Comprehensive financial planning
  • Equity compensation strategy for RSUs, ISOs, NQSOs and ESPP
  • Diversifying concentrated stock positions
  • Investment advice and regular check-ins

With your written permission, the two teams can coordinate, so a stock sale, an option exercise or a retirement contribution is planned once, for both your taxes and your finances.

Good to know.

Is Circuit Wealth part of TaxSquad?

No. Circuit Wealth LLC is a separate company and an investment adviser registered with the State of California. Sim Bachal owns Circuit Wealth and co-owns TaxSquad with his spouse, so the two firms are affiliated through common ownership. TaxSquad provides tax services. Financial planning and investment advice are provided only by Circuit Wealth. Each firm has its own engagement and fees, and you’re never required to use one to work with the other.

Do I need to use Circuit Wealth to work with TaxSquad?

No. Many of our clients use us only for tax planning, preparation or bookkeeping, and some already work with a financial planner. Your TaxSquad services and fees are the same whether or not you use Circuit Wealth. It’s there if you want it.

Will you share my information with Circuit Wealth?

Only with your written permission. If you work with both firms and want your tax plan and financial plan coordinated, we’ll ask you to sign a consent form first. You choose what’s shared and for how long. You can revoke the consent at any time, and declining won’t affect your TaxSquad services in any way.

How does Circuit Wealth charge?

Circuit Wealth is a fee-only fiduciary. It’s legally required to act in your best interest, and its only compensation is the fee you pay. It never earns commissions or gets paid for recommending products.

Financial planning is a one-time onboarding fee, then a flat monthly fee, with a one-year commitment. Investment management is an annual fee based on the assets Circuit Wealth manages for you, and the rate declines as your assets grow.

Circuit Wealth’s fees are separate from TaxSquad’s. Current pricing and details are in Circuit Wealth’s Form ADV Part 2A, available at adviserinfo.sec.gov.
